Pelvic Floor
Does your pelvic floor need some TLC? Don’t suffer in silence!
The most common pelvic floor symptoms are:
Rushing to the loo a lot
Leaking urine, wind or stool with urgency or during ‘high-energy’ activities like coughing or running
Trouble emptying bladder or bowel
Vaginal pressure or heaviness
Pain in the pelvic region, hips, or lower back.
Improving pelvic floor symptoms is not always as straightforward as making the muscles stronger. They might be too tight, out of balance with their neighbours, or not working with other areas of your body.
That’s where your women’s health physio comes in! Sometimes the strangest things can be traced back to an imbalance or weakness in the pelvic floor and other deep core muscles. Like that sore neck that keeps coming back, or a ‘clicking’ hip, headaches or foot pain… We’ll work with you to rebalance and retrain your pelvic floor muscles, and find more functional whole-body patterns of movement.
We understand that seeking help for pelvic floor issues takes courage. We aim to provide a caring, professional place for you to get reliable information, and a plan to work towards your individual goals.
